A UAE plant hire company, built to be checked before it is called

A corporate site for an Abu Dhabi transport and earthmoving company, built around the things an oil and gas buyer verifies before making contact.

The brief

Karsal Maila supplies transport, earthmoving and contracting services in the United Arab Emirates, from a head office in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The customers are construction firms, infrastructure contractors and the oil and gas sector.

That buyer does not behave like a consumer. Before anybody picks up a phone they want to know whether the company is approved to work on their sites, whether the equipment they need actually exists in the fleet, and whether the certifications are real. A site that answers those three questions gets a call. One that opens with a slogan gets closed.

Approvals come first, not last

In this sector the approvals are the qualification. ADNOC and TAQA approval, ICV certification and ISO certification decide whether a supplier is eligible before price is discussed at all.

So they are on the site as their own section rather than a line in a footer, and the certifications are visible rather than claimed. A procurement officer checking whether a supplier can be shortlisted finds the answer without having to email and wait.

The fleet is the catalogue

For plant hire, the fleet is the product. A prospect is not looking for a company, they are looking for a particular machine available on a particular date.

The site carries the fleet as a browsable section covering more than thirty categories of equipment, from excavators and cranes to trailers and buses, with operated and non operated options set out separately because that is a real distinction in how the work is priced.

It also states what kind of support is available, emergency, short term or scheduled, because on a site where a machine has failed, availability matters more than rate.

Built for people who arrive on a phone, on site

A lot of this traffic is somebody standing in a yard with a problem, not sitting at a desk researching.

The phone number is tappable and WhatsApp is offered next to it, which in the Gulf is the channel business actually runs on rather than a nice extra.

A downloadable company profile sits alongside it, because the same enquiry often needs to be forwarded internally to somebody who was not on the call.

Twenty four hour availability is stated plainly rather than implied, which is the sort of detail that decides which of three suppliers gets dialled first.

Everything a buyer checks, on the site

The structure follows the order a B2B buyer works through: who the company is, what it does, what equipment it holds, who works there, who it already works for, and what it is certified to do.

Clients and team both have their own sections. In a market where a lot of suppliers are three people and a broker, showing the actual organisation is a differentiator rather than a formality.

Careers is on there too, which matters more than it looks for a company that needs operators as much as it needs contracts.
